My question involves criminal law for the state of: West Virginia + Maryland
I was arrested and released on bond in West Virginia.
In walmart in Maryland, My friend was shoplifting, I had no idea, but when we went to leave, they stopped us both. We both were charged with General Theft (CR7-104) The officer checked our names, and to my surprise nothing showed up for me. But I am innocent, I've went to the store and police barracks and explained my case, the state police then said that they can't do anything until it comes before the judge. However, they then said that if what I say is true then the judge will probably drop charges. My issue is I've obviously violated my bond. I am freaking out, will my bond supervisor find out about charges from another state? I've never been in this situation before, and I've never had any issues with my bond checkups. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Also, if I tell my bond officer, how likely is it they will revoke my bond? Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
