Can I Get Emancipated

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas

I know in the state of Texas you have to be 16 to get emancipated and can be able to take care yourself.

I am 16 will be 17 in July I am wanting to get emancipated from my mother. I have graduated High School and I am currently getting enrolled in college. My mother always tries to kick me out keeps me on lock down 24/7 and when I am allowed to go out the house she calls my father who lives 3 hours away and tells him that she does want me to live with her anymore and due to me getting in college I can not leave this city because I start next month. She has called the cops on me many times even when she said i could leave the house. She accuses me of stuff i have not done.

She says I am out of control which I am not I do not do drugs or smoke or drink, I focus all my time on school or my 10 month old niece. My mother is very lazy she literally lays in bed all day and night does not clean the house does not cook or anything, I do all the cleaning, cooking everything.

She does not work she gets money out of my dads retirement once a month plus child support for me. She also asks me money when i get money from my grandparents or dad. When i moved in with her i came down with $500 it was gone in a week because she took it from me. I rely on my brother who is 18 and works 12 hours a day and who has a family and who is never home himself because he does not like to be around my mother.

I rely on my brother to get me food because sometimes we never have food in the house. I also know that i need a job to get emancipated which i am working on getting a job asap but its hard to when you are living in a military area and have to be 18+. I also do not have a car or license i am doing drivers ed at the moment online. My mother blames me for everything and makes me have emotional break downs and says to me in worthless and does not want me and wish she had given me up for adoption or wish never had me.

She also has a boyfriend who has once laid a hand on me has yelled at me and went at me. Calls my brother and I names. Drinks around me and smokes dope/weed around em. Fights with my mother all the time which when they fight i get brought into it. Which leads me to getting kicked out.

I cant stand to live here anymore because i am at my breaking point.

I need to know if i can get emancipated once i get a job, how long is the process, do i need an attorney, and how much does it cost?

In Texas, at the age of 16 unless you are ALREADY living outside the home and managing all your own finances, you do not qualify to be emancipated.
