I work full-time at a school. Since I am pregnant, I go to monthly doctor check-ups. I schedule my appointments as late in the evening as possible which even then I usually end up leave 2 hours before we are allowed to go home (which is 4:45pm most days). My employer just emailed me stating my combined hours for when I left early for all my doctors appointment and states those hours combined form 2 days from my personal/sick days. I fear that when something does happen like a death or if baby gets sick, that I won't have enough personal/sick days to take off. Is there anything that allows my monthly appointments not count as personal/sick days? Anything under the FMLA?
