My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of:
I’ve been told by security gaurds at work to:
•Not to walk with a plastic knife because I can kill someone or fall on the knife and sue
•Not to walk across certain areas of the parking lot because I can slip on the leaves and sue
•Fly my 3 inch Styrofoam rc helicopter because it can injure someone, which can lead them getting killed. (this case, I was flying my rc helicopter in an empty meeting room with no one in it. Second time I was in an empty hallway with one guy that came by to say it was awesome)
•Not to walk on certain sidewalks because the cracks are about ¼ of an inch larger than a normal crack and I can trip and fall and sue.
•Not to walk while eating a snickers because I can choke and sue.
•Not to feed a squirrel because one of them can attack me and I can sue.
My recent activity as of last week – my friends and I were flying rc helicopters made of Styrofoam in an empty meeting room at lunch time. Security again told us to stop and that we might put someone’s eyes out and that we can kill someone. Furthermore, they told us, you guys are real pilots you should know better of the dangers. WTF? There’s a huge difference between a real airplane and a 3 inch RC helicopter made of foam.
You guys might think this is a joke, but this really does happen and are actually things they’ve stopped me for.
What the hell do I say to any of these ridiculous assumptions? How do I respond, the new security company has really made it uncomfortable to work, they’re only job is to check your id as you come in.
Every answer I give, they keep saying it can happen and give stupid what if scenarios.
