I am less concerned with starting a lawsuit over this,
good because if you are considering a wrongful termination, it would be an effort in futility.

You may have a claim with the DLSE for not being provided lunch breaks and other breaks (if applicable). I believe you can go back 2 years. For missed lunch breaks you would be due overtime pay. If that was not paid, they owe you.
