Default If You Abscond From Probation Will the Charges Eventually Go Away

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan. I am on felony probation and violated yerterday. The consequence is revoking my probation. My question is, if I obscond, how long would I have to run for? Is there a such thing as statue of limitation for this situation? My charges are; attempt larceny in a building, larceny in a building, forgery, and ottering and publishing. Any responds would be GREATLY appreciated.

No, you do not get any time credit for being a fugitive/absconder. You will be a wanted man forever and when eventually caught, you'll come back to face the violations and the original charges. It will not get better if you run. If there was a chance they weren't going to revoke you before, you're throwing that out the window.

I don't even want to know about the crime of ottering.

Thank you for your input. Ottering and publishing is a form of check fraud. But my main concern is I'd go to orison if I go in today, there is no chance of anything else. That's why I was wondering, I'm scared.

What was the violation? They may not necessarily toss you in prison for it.

My probation is set so I can only get 3 violations. This is my third, all I did was miss a drop, but its a no excuse policy. I've already talked to everyone I can involved in my case and its a revoke for sure.

Running makes you a fugitive until you die or get caught. There is no term date on a warrant.

You are better off facing the judge and begging for another chance. Get the test you missed.

And hoping that the judge is not a lover of semi-aquatic mammals.
