Default Can I Take Back the Car I'm Selling if the Buyer Misses Payments

    [
B][/B]My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of:Ontario,Canada Not sure if I'm posting in the right place. I'm helping a friend with a new car. The vehicle is entirely in my name aswell as all of the financing where my friend is simply paying all of the payments on it. However he hasn't paid in a few months now and is destroying my bank account aswell as my credit. Can I simply ask for the car back or do I have to pursue legal channels in doing so? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It appears, absent a variation in Canadian law, you can take possession of the vehicle that is solely in your name. His recourse is civil in nature. It does not appear there is a written contract to refer to.
