This may not exactly be employment (although I would consider college a full time job), but it is discrimination, and I was wondering if there is anything that can be done. I have 2 friends a male and a female, who both failed to pass one class last year, losing scholarship money. They both did well in the rest of their classes, but each failed a class. Today my female friend spoke to financial aid, and they told her they couldn't give the scholarship back, even though they gave it back to my male friend. If anything she has done better than he has, she was dual enrolled in High School for 3 years, getting A's in almost all of her classes.
Whether it's relevant or not, the class my male friend failed to pass was Calc 2, which my female friend got an A in her junior year of high school. If they don't return her scholarship she will be forced to leave this university and go to community college, as she can no longer afford university. Is there anything that can be done?
Let me know if you have any questions.
