Need a heck of a lot more details on both claims to see how they relate to each other.
was out for a month workmans comp. back to work for a month harrassed and back hurting
etc.... unsafe work enviorment. so quit. now have unemployment appeal on dec.10
The workman's comp should have stopped paying because you returned to work. The unemployment is now a separate issue. By your own telling, you'll need "good cause" because you quit.
Harassment rarely works and neither does the unsafe working conditions. Not because they aren't ever "good cause," but it's unlikely that you can produce the proof necessary.
If returning to work aggravated your back because it hadn't healed completely, you'd have been much better off going back on workman's comp. Then hopefully just as your workman's comp was running out, you'd dramatically heal. Then because of the amount of time that you were out, you hope that your employer has already replaced you, and then you can get unemployment because you are better, and your employer didn't hold your job.
In Maryland? Don't bet the rent on being approved for UI.
