My question involves criminal law for the state of: IL

On 10/21/13 I was caught at Walmart for shoplifting a petty item that was around $30 I am very embarrassed of taking it and the consequences were very harsh. They took me to the back and proceeded to give me a few form to sign saying that Walmart would end up sending me a ticket and then they also called the cops. The cops came, took down my information and gave me a "complaint for violation of city ordinance" and then told me to pay the ticket and that this wouldn't go on my record because I did not have any prior mark on my record. 4 weeks later, I received a letter from Walmart Asset Protection Recovery indicating that for the incident that day I am liable for civil damages in the amount of $200.00 due by the end of the month. I was wondering if this incident will show up on my record?
