    Default Divorce While Living Abroad

My husband and I are U.S. citizens, both living abroad in different countries (I live in China, he in Russia). I wish to file for a divorce, but don't know where I can do so (we have both lived apart outside of Ohio--recent state of residence and where we were married--for more than 6 months, but less than 1 year). We have no assets or children, but we do have shared debts. I expect we will both be able to come to an agreement on the divorce, division of debt, and spousal support. Any advice on where I can file or even where I can find a lawyer to ask? Thank you

As you live in China and he lives in Russia, you can start by discussing divorce law with lawyers in China and Russia. If and when you move back to the United States you can satisfy the domicile requirements of the state to which you move and file in that state.
