My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Connecticut

A few years ago, I was arrested in connecticut for misdemeanor larceny. The charges were nolled, and after 13 months the charges were expunged per connecticut law. I am going to be going through a background check with an investment bank and was wondering about the background check. I understand that they will use a third party to do the entire background check and run my prints through the FBI database.

Out of curiosity, I ran a search on my prints using fieldprint (an authorized FBI channel) which generated a criminal history record information report and to my surprise, my prints came back with no arrests on record. I guess the FBI upheld connecticut's request for expungement? (the FBI does not always have to do this, and to my understanding connecticut's system is automatic for updating the FBI).

Will the investment bank see the same thing? Or does the FDIC have more power and can see beyond my own generated report? Also, due to no report being on record and being completely expunged, can I answer that I have never been arrested?

Thank you guys.
