Default Statute of Limitations for Bigamy in California

My question involves a marriage that originally took place in S. Korea and took residency in California thereafter. During this time the husband was travelling back and forth to S. Korea for business and got married again while he was out in S. Korea. After much begging and pleading the wife in California agreed on a divorce which leads me to my question. What is the statute of limitations for bigamy in California and does the location it was committed matter? The husband in question is a real work of art that has never paid a single cent of child support although he is pretty well off but that's another issue on its own.

    timeline query:

    a) guy marries girl 1 in korea (wife 1)
    b) guy marries 2nd girl in korea (wife 2)
    c) guy gets divorce from girl 1

op is the girl 1 i assume.

well, marriage to wife 2 was never valid.

the guy is not married at all now.

child support has nothing to do with the institution

bigamy? i don't think they ever prosecute this, especially after the divorce, unless some other reason for the action was afoot.

does not matter where marriage takes place.

op is looking for a pound of flesh? i don't think she'll get it.

It's a "wobbler", so the limitations period is three years. Although it's a personal estimation, I suspect that the odds of a prosecutor having any interest in picking up a case, post-divorce, and trying to prove a second marriage in Korea hover just slightly above 0%.
