Sure thing. I'd also take a look at PC 1054.5 (b) and (c). These subsections describe what must occur in order for you to compel discovery and what the available penalties are. Notice that 1054.5(c) says the matter can only be dismissed if the violation is constitutional. For that to happen, the People will have had to have withheld exculpatory information.
The law in 1054.5(b) says that if you don't get an answer within 15 days you may seek an order to provide the discovery. However, Yolo has a local rule of court that (LR 16.9) that says that compliance with 1054-1054.7 is a standing order. It looks like you could go straight to seeking enforcement of this standing order, assuming the documents aren't provided within 15 days of the request. However, you'll still have to make a trip to the courthouse and file a motion to get this to happen.
