My question involves a child custody case from the State of: California

I want to create a visitation schedule with the mother of my son of 3 months. We were never married and are no longer together. Can I decide what to do during the time I have visitation, or can she force me to watch my son at her place/apartment? She already allows me to take care of him at my house when she goes to work, this only occurs once or twice a week. I would like to have more time with him throughout the week, but her other job accommodates for her by allowing her to bring her son. Some of those times, would be my only free time to actually see my son. Is it possible for me to still gain visitation regardless of if she has work or not?

Because she breastfeeds, she will pump and freeze milk for whoever will take care of him during that period of time. She has been recently saying that no one can take care of him unless she's at the job which she cannot bring the baby too. So even on days that we both have off, she wouldn't allow me to take care of him at my place because she doesn't want him feeding on the bottle more than he has to. Another problem is that she may quit that job she's at. Then, there wouldn't be any "necessary" times where a babysitter would be needed.

I would like to be able to see and take care of my son frequently and consistently.
