Question How to find out if there is an Arrest Warrant

Hello, can anyone help me find out how to find, ONLINE, if there is an arrest warrant outstanding on someone? Is there a specific site that counties or towns have that I can access? Or is there a pay - for site that really does what it claims - that is get you arrest warrant info? I need info for the state of NJ., county of Monmouth. With all due respect, please do not suggest to call the town police dept. Thanks and have a great day!!

Why not call the police department?

There are large numbers of companies that do background checks on people. There's no guarantee that any one of them will give a 100% comprehensive report - they may miss a local warrant.

If you are checking on a warrant for yourself, don't call from your home number which will display not only your phone number but the name and address of the calling party unlisted or blocked, call from a pay phone.

Question Re: How to find out if there is an Arrest Warrant

Thank you for your help. I do have a question about contacting the police dept. First, do you call the County, or the local police dept.? What would be best?
Second, as this is sensitive in nature, does the police dept. ask alot of questions of the caller? (Third degree). Do they just provide info? What are they obligated to do?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this for you or someone else? It makes a difference in the answer and I will not aid and abet or instruct or suggest that you break the law on or off line. If this is for you, I strongly suggest you consult a criminal defense attorney familar with the jurisdiction.

Very often they will neither confirm nor deny the existence of a warrant.
