    Default Wage garnishment

I've read that wage garnishment can be up to 50% of disposable income.

I'm a waitress and my checks are bi-weekly and amount to 137.00. How will they determine what percentage to take?

They may impute a minimum wage salary for you or ask that you include the amount that you claim in tips in the assessment of your income.
