    Default Misdemeanor Theft Charges

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia

    So yesterday I got busted for shoplifting. Im 20. I have never gotten in trouble with the law before so I.have no idea whats gonna happen in court! I had stole 63 bucks worth of stuff so its a misdemeanor charge.. But Could someone please help me with a few of theae.questions I have?...
    Will I get jail time?
    Probation?
    How should I plead?
    Should I get a lawyer?
    HELP?!?!

    You should get a lawyer and hope he gets you diversion.
