Default Shoplifting at Walmart in Tucson, Arizona

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Shoplifting in Walmart. Today I'm ashamed to say I was caught shoplifting in Walmart. I took more than a few items: fake eyelashes from revlon, a nail polish, Johnson's small 97 cent bottle of lotion, two underwear, a blush compact, and a tank top. I took all the tags off and misplaced them in places around the store. The revlon eyelashes and blush compact I took out of the packaging. I put it all in my purse I had. When we got to the exit the man stopped me and said to go with him into a room next to the exit he had me sit down and pull out everything that I stole and lay it on the floor, he than took a picture and put it in a bag. He asked my age (18), my number, address and my social security and asked if I had a license or I.D. Which I didn't put he proceeded on and asked my weight, height, eye color, hair color. Then took a picture of me. At first he was going to call the cops because I was considered an adult, but then said he would cut me a break and DID NOT call the cops, but said he would have to write a report of what he saw (me stealing & how) and they would send the info to every store like Walmart he named places for example: target and other Walmart's. He then gave me a "Asset Protection Recovery" paper and explained that Walmart would send me a letter either paying or initialing me to do something based upon what the letter says. And allow 14 business days and then I could contact them. He then let me leave and said I'm not a good theft and not to do it again and to have better days. This is my first time stealing and first time getting caught I was so scared and still am. And I just really need help I would say all the items together were about $40.00 I tried to steal.

My questions are (please, please help me):
1.) will this come up on my background check? I just applied at Safeway and have had an interview if I get the job they will do a background check. Will this come up?

2.) what should I expect the letter to say, and what should I expect to pay for opened items that would be considered "damaged"?

3.) anything else should I expect from this incident?

4.) will my picture and name pop up at the places I applied making it so that I can not get a job there ?

    Please help! Thank you

    1. Maybe

    2. You can expect to pay hundreds of dollars for this one time mistake. If you don't pay the demand, they will take you to court, and you will pay attorney and court fees on top of the demand.

    3. You could still have charges pressed against you.

    4. Maybe.
