My question involves criminal law for the state of: Second Paraphernalia Charge after 365 days in the state of North Dakota.
I was first charged with only one and only charge of Paraphernalia on April 27th 2012. During my court hearing for that charge I was told by the judge of Cass County that as long I keep myself out of any legal trouble for 365 days, this charge would be expunged.
On Sept. 11th 2013 I have (very idiotically) ran into the same charge. I as always was extremely compliant and respectful. I was put in between a rock and a hard place and to avoid going to jail I even provided law enforcement with some information... which breaks every moral code I've ever believed in.
I don't have a clue how this offense will affect me or my future, any information with legal knowledge would be greatly appreciated. I'm considering a Criminal Defense lawyer. Still studying my options.
-- My first offense was such a light slap on the wrist, I made the same mistake. A mistake I understand that was foolish and never will reoccur now that I have a future that means a great deal to me and would give up anything to keep.
