Default I Would Like to Be Emancipated but My Parents Won't Agree

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: California
Hi my name is Kait, I'm 16 and I would like to emancipated but I know my parents won't even consider letting me be emancipated. I was wondering if there was anyway I could be emancipated without my parents consent? I have been through a lot in the past couple years and my parents and I don't get along often, I really don't know if I can stand living with them for another two years. I currently don't have a job but I have a lot of friends and family who would be willing to help me until I can be completely independent. I would like to keep this from my parents until I'm sure that I can be emancipated and that they can't stop it.

Okay. Emancipation is rarely granted even for the best of reasons.

You're not living independently (which is generally required), and obviously not self-supportive (another requirement).

I'm sorry, but emancipation was and is not intended to be a tool to get out of your parents' house.

You honestly haven't got a chance in Hades.

    There ya go, then.

I was wondering if there was anyway I could be emancipated without my parents consent? I have been through a lot in the past couple years and my parents and I don't get along often, I really don't know if I can stand living with them for another two years. Emancipation is exceedingly rare in CA and occurs only in rare circumstances where this is the best avenue for the juvenile to thrive. Not getting along with your parents ain't gonna cut it.

Do you have a job? Can you support yourself without help or government aid? How will you finish school? Where will you live? Are you already living apart from your parents? (Note - the last one is required)

Understand that teenagers almost always hate their parents. It's rare that a teen doesn't want to move out or, at least, get into a situation where they believe they "hate" their parents and can't live with them. It's part of growing up.

The bottom line is that this is simply not likely to happen at all. But, in a couple of years, you are free to leave home and make your way in the world carrying only that which they let you leave with.

Don't be so eager to grow up and be on your own ... it's not as glorious as you might think.

Get a job in Hollywood paying $50k and allowing you to attend school, you might have a shot after 1 year.
