Tenant Urinating in the Property

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NY

Tenant at low income site in NYC urinating in the halls and stairs. Would like to sue tenant in L-T court.

Has there ever been any similar cases in NYC housing court? I would like to know how they went, what the judge's decision and opinion was.

I would appreciate your help.

Did you see the tenant do it?

Did anybody see the tenant do it and is willing to testify in court?

Did you collect samples for a possible DNA test that could prove who the contributor was?

What does the lease say about evicting a tenant for that behavior?

What does the NY landlord tenant statute say about it?

What does the NYC rent stabilization law say about it?

That's the research you need to do before you decide to sue or evict.

I don't imagine that anybody can tell you how similar lawsuits went. You'd have to go file by file at the L-T court to find out. Or pay a lawyer $300 per hour to research it for.
