Default What Happens if the the Parent Is Late to an Exchange

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: ohio
my child is supposed to go back to the other parents house monday at 6pm. my ex wants to me to bring her back to their house. in our papers it states that, when the holiday falls on a Monday immediately following a non residential parenting time weekend the non residential parent shall be entitled to keep the children continuously form 6pm Friday to 6pm Monday. we have a half way point to meet at which is at a hotel. i know that i am to wait 30 mins but what happens when they don't show? do i just go back home and take the child to school in the morning or make the other parent come get her? should i get a police report stating that i was there. we meet at a hotel so i thought about going inside and videoing the time and place for proof. it also says in our papers that i dont have to wait more than 30 mins unless notified.(we both have custody of her and both are residential parents. they only use the other parents address for school purposes) so it continues to say anymore than 30 mins it forfeits the parenting time, unless the residential parent agrees otherwise. so can the other parent get into trouble with the court for not picking up the child when theres a set time and place. im just wondering what my course of action needs to be. this parent gives me a hard time at everything we do.

Cell phone calls make the easiest method of coordination. Generally allow about an hour for a no show. As you noted, your order says only 30 minutes, which you can follow. Buy something at a nearby convenience store and keep the receipt. A history of no shows can allow you to request further court modification of the order.
