Default Ownship of Hunting Rifles Left to Family

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Texas

More then a year ago I asked my uncle to watch over the rifles left to us by my father it was always believed that they were mine but apparently not my mother has recently become unstable after I told her I sold my uncle my rifles that were given to me by my father but never transferred in ownership. I had him store my father's and grandfathers rifles but my mother has framed and now is threatening to take me to court even though I've told her I would just buy them back from my uncle. My question is does she have any grounds to do so? She hasn't possessed them for more then a year and there wasn't any I'll intent.

Unless you come up with a writing proving they had been given to you. You appear to have a problem.

what made you believe they were yours? Your statement suggest your father has died and somewhere along the line you believe the guns were left to you. Unless they were given to you in a will he left or the personal rep of his estate for the probate transferred them to you, they most assuredly are not yours.

My father said they were mine before he passed away of course this doesn't necessarily reflect what was in the will apatently and the rifles that I sold were the ones he purchased for me when I was younger and we used to hunt his and my grandfather's rifles are with my uncle for safe keeping as I would never sale them. I don't hunt anymore that was a thing my dad and I did so I didn't need mine.

Your story isn't even close to internally consistent, something that severely undermines your credibility.
