    Default Accused of Setting Someone Up to Get Robbed

    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Louisiana
    hi im 17 from the state of louisiana i think ive got myself involved in something and needed advice so i met this older guy a month ago i was 16 at the time he hooked me up with sum of his friends to make money. having sex if u were wondering me and him hooked up quite a few times and he payed me for sex about 3 weeks ago we met up and while i was getting in the car someone says bitch u bet not move and a gun is pointed at me. den da dude leave me nd starts searchn da man car the guy friend tell me to walk off slow and dont run da man ends up getting shot police come but i didnt speak with them because i have a child and wasnt trying to get involved now the guy is saying i sat him up but i didnt have anything to do with what happened! pls help i need advice not judgement

    The cops and do lie to trick people in to confessing. The best thing is say I have nothing to say,if arrested don't speak with out lawyer. They can be very convicing and try to get you to talk yourself in trouble.

    If the victim has identified you as the person who set him up, you are a suspect in a very serious crime. You need a lawyer.

    If the police come, I don't think it will be to merely question you, but to arrest you. You would do well to immediately request a lawyer and to exercise your right to remain silent until after you have met with your lawyer - even if the police are telling you how much easier things will be if you simply tell them what happened.

    Exercise your right to remain silent. Request a PD f you cannot afford a lawyer. Explaining can get you charged with multiple counts of prostitution.
