My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

f you want to read the article here, I am the driver in the car that did not crash:

Long story short, it looks like I will be facing reckless driving charges, which is a serious misdemeanor in the state of CA, and I am wondering if I am at all able to get the charges dropped/reduced. If it helps, I believe I have no points on my record.

Please help, I am very worried and have never been in any trouble before in my life, and was very compliant with the police at the time of the accident.

In short, I am wondering what sort of charges I should expect to be facing.

As a side note, if I do get charged with reckless driving, since it is my first offense, is it likely that it will be reduced to just a more minor traffic violation if I get put into one of those "safe driving classes."

Thanks. (I know what I did was very dumb, and I am not looking for people to criticize me)
I suggest you retain the services of an attorney who handles traffic as well as criminal cases. Depending on the other facts of the case, it looks like you might have bigger problems ahead.
