My question involves a child custody case from the State of: South Carolina and North Carolina
I am 15 years old. My father is trying to take me away from my grandmother, I live currently in SC with her, while he lives in NC. For the past 15 years, he hasn't been in my life, he abandoned me while I was only 9 months old. Now, he wants to be apart of my life, and make me move from SC to live with him. I need to know can he actually do that, when he hasn't been in my life. Now for some strange reason which are unknown, he wants to be apart of my life. He has failed to support or maintain contact with me over the years, he has neglected me, of course abandoned me also. I need to know can he take me away from my grandmother, and if we go to family court can his parental rights be revoked completely so he has no say in whether I have to go live with him. So, the rights maybe given to my grandmother.
