Default How Do I Get an Arrest Record Fully Erased from All Public and Private Databases

My question involves criminal records for the state of: new england

How do I get the arrest record fully erased from all public and private databases?

I completed a program and had all criminal charges dismissed against me resulting in no criminal record but leaving an arrest record.
I then had a lawyer send in a letter demanding police to "erase all records". I got a response back from the police confirming all records including fingerprints, mug shot, report and charges of arrest were erased.
Can someone please provide a service which operates in my jurisdiction because **********.com doesn't in which all traces of the arrest on both public and private databases are removed? I also want the FBI to expunge my fingerprints. I found a form called the R-84 which is for arrest disposition submissions and the FBI will expunge fingerprints under certain circumstances, anyone know about this? It was my first time ever in trouble with the law by the way.

Im starting to get really frustrated because no one will give me a solid answer, because maybe there isn't one. one lawyer told me to hire an lawyer that specializes in expungement/sealing but i cant afford to spend any more money. Was this already done when the police responded back to me saying the arrest record is no longer public knowledge and everything was erased? I just want this whole ordeal behind me. I also tried to contact **************.org but got no response back. I appreciate any advice.

You can't. Even an expunged record is maintained somewhere.

the problem in today's world is; regardless what the police and or courts do, your records are often in the public's hands before they are sealed and as such, cannot be removed from all databases. It is not realistic to expect there be no traces of the activities somewhere.

theres got to be a way to remove it from the majority of databases. i know websites like r e c o r d g o n e which dont operate in [some states] can have it erased from over 400 public/private databases. The lawyer told me really not to worry, he said that it has been removed from the majority of databases and since the charges were dismissed there are no convictions. The arrest record was also erased so if it does come back up im going to sue the hell out of someone

A private service can blast a request to hundreds or thousands of private databases, but the blast request neither guarantees nor confirms removal, nor does it guarantee that the request will reach every private database on the planet. The service you mention will apparently follow up with partnered services (it only promises removal from partnered services), presumably based upon its contract with those services and any fees it pays for prompt removal.

It is a fact you were arrested. The fact that the law demands the info be removed from your government record and you are allowed to state you were never arrested, that does not mean (as an example) I could not tell people that you were arrested.

so your saying that since the police no longer have any record of an arrest, i could say "I have never been arrested" if asked? I would think i could but im concerned about this as well.

also do you know anything about having the fbi expunge fingerprints. i know im probably coming off as too paranoid, but i just want to move on with my life.

Or that anyone who witnessed the arrest could publicize it, or that you yourself aren't publicizing it by talking about it, or that you'd FURTHER publicize it by bringing a civil case about other people publicizing it.

Simple fact is, an arrest DID occur, and while expungement processes my be able to hide record of that arrest from official sources getting into the public domain AFTER the expungment, it will NOT impact info that got out into the public BEFORE the expungment (even IF you were able to find them ALL), nor does the expungment impact PRIVATE sources from revealing otherwise factual information. So if, for example, I had a photo of you being cuffred and stuffed in a public place, I could splash it on billboards. See why expungment is only ever a PARTIAL aid?

the thing is that the cops kept my info out of the papers, etc. a bunch of other stuff was done because they wanted me to rat on people but i never did because I'm not like that. I think I'm pretty much good, no conviction and the arrest was erased. I just emailed a lawyer who specializes in expungement here so ill see what their response is. As long as the arrest is pretty much hidden I'm not complaining. Like i said it wasn't publicized in the newspaper with a huge headline and story to go along with it or something. Thank god because this could of very well happened since it was pretty serious. I appreciate everyone's responses.

did you edit your original post? I am certain I saw a specific state mentioned and reference to the law involved. I had even looked it up. Within that law, your question is answered but since either you edited your post or I am delusional, I am not able to look it up again and provide you with that info.
