    Exclamation First offence shoplifting

    hey,

my brother who is 14 years old had got caught stealing a DVD. they took him in the office and qustioned him he had to give his detail and he said he was 12, he had stolen from HMV and his mates about 3 of them had got caught like a few weeks ago but the manager wants to prositute him because of his other mates. Game and HMV are linked and he had stolen with his other mates from there too and now the police officer asked who are these and "i know your not going to grass up your mates." he has to go police station on monday. what will happen if he doesnt grass up his mate also what else would happen if he grassed his friends up?

    Thnx

Odds are, whether or not he names his friends, he'll end up in the U.K equivalent of juvenile court. It doesn't sound like the police have offered more lenient treatment if he names his friends.
