Angry Child Support for a Child Born in Another Country

My question involves child support in the Country of Nicaragua:

In 2010 while my husband was working in Nicaragua a woman claimed that her son was the product of a one night stand they had had in 2006. the child was 3 at this point and my husband missed 3 years of this little boys life. This woman also told a slew of other men that they were the father, all of whom pretty much laughed at her and then she would move on to the next. My husband went to a hospital in Nicaragua and submitted a DNA test to find out if he was the father or not. The DNA test which was emailed to us in the United States stated that he could not excluded from being the father and that paternity was 99.9 %(I still am a little leery of this as they are very corrupt in this country). my husband asked her how much she thought would be feasible for child support and I'm sorry to say but this woman is not a good woman, gold digger would be the best thing I can say about her. Finally after back and forth conversations and her mind set that everyone in America is rich , my husband began paying child support and does so every month, without an order to an agreed upon amount, I will say agreed upon until she realized she wanted to milk the cow for all its worth. This woman is constantly asking for more money, she needs it for this and that all of which are lies. She has two other children both from different fathers who are not in the picture anymore. Every time she has another child she calls and says that she needs more child support and the threats begin. My husband and I absolutely feel that it is his responsibility to take care of his child, however I flat out refuse to let him pay to support two other children who are not his, because this woman doesn't know how to use protection, and not get pregnant with children she cannot take care of. I will also state this woman does not work nor has a day in her life. Her latest threat is that she is going to the Nicaraguan Consulate and reporting my husband. We have receipts of every penny we send this woman as her child support is sent via western union. My husband does work in this country(Nicaragua) and they do not have the best legal system, we just want to make sure that my husband isn't going to fly there and when he lands and goes through immigration at the airport, be arrested. Does a judge need to establish support payments(even though he already pays, just not to her standards) before an action like this can take place?

This site is for US law, not Nicaraguan law. She is free to report your husband. She is free to file for an official court order of support. She is free to request he legitimize the child by giving it US citizenship. If he objects to the things are handled there, perhaps he should not have gone there and had sex. It appears to be a bit late to attempt asserting rights not vested as a matter of law.

Your husband will need to discuss his Nicaraguan legal concerns with a Nicaraguan lawyer.

If and when mom gets a support order in Nicaragua, she can attempt to collect it through your undisclosed state. The rest depends on the details.
