If you did not want probation, you could have prettied yourself up and gone to prison. Your choice, your crime. Not getting into trouble for a year, unless you belong in jail should be easy.

I didn't want to lose my good reference at work by suddenly going off the map. Not gettting into trouble isn't hard. Paying is hard. And no one told me i'd be paying this much. Anyway I'll figure out something. I have a friend in a similar place but shes getting away with it. had no idea until a couple of days after I asked this question so you assholes can kindly **** off now.

Yet YOU are the one who believes it is okay to be a fugitive. Hmmm ...

I didn't want to lose my good reference at work by suddenly going off the map.
Then don't run. Stay and face the music.

Not gettting into trouble isn't hard. Paying is hard. And no one told me i'd be paying this much.
Hence the reason you should consider your actions beforehand. If you have low impulse control and it gets you in trouble, perhaps the counseling that you are being compelled to take will be a benefit.

Anyway I'll figure out something. I have a friend in a similar place but shes getting away with it.
Ah, so you have a friend who is a wanted fugitive and she's living okay? Wonderful for him/her.

had no idea until a couple of days after I asked this question so you assholes can kindly **** off now.
    You're a true peach.

Have fun looking over your shoulder for the next few decades.

"I did what I wanted until I finally thought the price was high enough, yet now find the price is higher than I expected" is not an affirmative defense. I'm sorry. Whether you realize it or not, you are actually not that bad off, unless you make it so.
