My question involves collection proceedings in the States of: Pennsylvania and New York.
I owe monies to both the State of PA (past unemployment) and the State of New York (back owed child support.) I have been deeded a "rather worthless" piece of land TODAY by my family in my home state of Texas that has not been appealing enough for public sale for at least 30 years.
Am I better off simply offering this piece of land for seizure to either state I owe monies to? Will the Lien placed on the piece of land make me exempt from paying taxes on it and so forth once it is seized? ( I am hoping it would.) The land is of no use to me whatsoever except as a means of paying off debts.![]()
