Default What constitutes separation in state of virginia?

Could some one please tell me what constitutes separation in Virginia? I know that wife and husband can live in the same house and there should not be any sexual contact. What else is there? can they have meals with the kids? Is there a source that I can go to to get a detail definition of separation in state of Virginia?

    Thanks a lot

    Default Virginia Separation

In Virginia, for purposes of the waiting period for divorce, the definition of "separation" is that the parties are residing in a separate residence with the intention on the part of at least one of them that the separation be permanent. Cohabitation is inconsistent with this definition of separation.
