My question involves marriage law for the State of: Michigan
I have been married for 17yrs. many of those years my wife refused to work, but I did. we have lived apart since december 2012 I will be seeking a divorce soon, my question is, she is healthy, has no reason why she cant work, both children are of age, I still support my 18yr old son who resides with me. I also have a daughter in college that I pay tuition for monthly. I have gotten no help from my with wife with any of this. I was told I would have to pay her alimony in excess of 50% of my weekly earnings if I divorce her while she's unemployed! I need to find out if this is true for my state before I go through with this and I won't be able to pay for my childs education or even my own bills, etc
