What sort of motion are you attempting to file and for what reason?

Traffic court does not have the capacity or any set procedure to allow for motion hearings. Some courts may allow it but that would involve having to file in criminal court, and generally it goes back to what the issue is and how it can be resolved.

The most common way is to appear for your trial and at the beginning, state to the court you are making a motion.

File with the clerk and serve the other party. If the court allows pretrial motions ~ see court rules.
