Default Ex-Roommate is Demanding Money for Bills, Furniture Damage

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Georgia

Back story with my room mate: She was my mother's friend her and my mother had a falling out and she started to take her bad attitude that she couldn't push on my mother onto me. She never showed me the bills, I never got a receipt when I paid for them, claims I was late on every bill (which I wasn't I paid every month. The bills are in her name she would get them, pay them, and turn around and write it on the board what was owed). My mother offered to help me with the bills and stated part of the money she gave me would go to the cable bill. Which I didn't want to begin with and my mother was there when I said I was fine with just the internet. My room mate took this as a chance to use all the money my mother would get me and purchased the most expensive bundle possible. So all money I had from my mother would go to paying this nearly $200 bill.

We eventually get sick of it and two weeks before the end of May I tell her that I'm not longer paying for the cable just the internet. This breaks out into a fight, one month later I paid the final for the cable along with my other bills. We posted a reminder about the cable (which the cable box was removed from my room) she got angry and decided to move out telling out landlord "she can't afford to live here anymore."

So my room mate moved out towards the beginning of this month after telling our landlord that she would be staying until August. She left without leaving any of the final bills, which is claim she did on a sheet of paper, but the paper just had the cut off dates for all the utilities. She gave me literally 48 hours to get all the bills in my name and purposely did not leave our lease for me until it was to late for me to get the water transferred over. When I returned home the day she moved out she left her couch but had returned her key to our landlord.

Now it's been about three weeks since she's be gone and she contacted my mother who has nothing to do with the bills and is demanding that she pay for the bills. My mother doesn't talk with her and ignored her so instead I confronted her since I was her actual room mate. She exploded at me saying that I owe her the money for her couch and the utilites (that are in her name and that she paid before she left and left nothing for me to know how much they were) she says my dogs ruined her couch and that it's a $300 couch. The couch is a futon that looks like it couldn't be more than $150 and my dogs never did anything to ruin it. Plus she's claiming my mother said she would pay for the bills this final time, which my mother doesn't talk to her and doesn't know what she's talking about.

Not sure how this is going to go but she told me that "I'll see you in court" which knowing her she's actually going to do. I'm not really sure about to go about this matter but in her messages towards me she is rude, insulting, and cursing at me. Any help on the matter would be great.

Ignore her claims to take you to court unless something actually happens where she files for this.

Provide us more useful information regarding these utility bills and the rent. How are these now supposed to be handled. In other words, who is paying the rent now that this roommate has moved out?

I am the one paying rent currently, I have a new lease with my landlord along with a new room mate. The utilities were suppose to be split among us as a silent agreement since we never discussed how the matter of the bills would be paid. The bills for the most part are in my name now, but this was after she cancelled everything. I had no clue she was leaving until my landlord mentioned it to me and told me that I needed to find a new room mate. There was no communication between me and my old room mate as she would lock herself in her room and only leave rude messages on the board in the kitchen. So she wants money for bills that she already paid and that she left no information with me on how to pay her and instead went after my mother. Now after me because I told her she won't get anything from my mother.

Ignore her unless you provides you specific information regarding the bills for these utilities (i.e., copies of the bills).
