Default Can My Roommates Sue Me for Leaving Before End of Lease

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Connecticut.

So my question is, can my roommates sue me for moving out two months into our lease? Our lease is handwritten on a piece of graph paper and literally says "May 28, 2013. $800.00 was given as a security deposit for XXX !@#$%^&* st, floor 2. $800.00 was given for 1st month's rent starting June 1, 2013. This will be a one year lease on the apartment" Signed by the three of us. I'm moving out because I feel it is unsafe living conditions, drugs are being brought into the apartment (we had a verbal agreement before moving in saying no drugs or smoking in the house, both of which have been broken). The police have been called on us multiple times and we have had a "fist fight" in front of our house, resulting in one friend getting kicked in the head five times and a concussion.

Can they sue me for this? I'm planning on talking to my landlord about the situation to try getting him to take my name of the "lease" but some backup would be great.

    Thanks!

Sounds like a written lease to me. What do you feel is missing?

You bet .. but they must try to mitigate the loss ... you're adults .. start acting like adults

Yes, they can sue you for now having to pay your portion of the rent (that is, unless the landlord begins the process of eviction over the whole lot of you for what appears to be a fairly disruptive group of tenants living in his/her property). People can sue for pretty much anything. If they do your evidence for doing so would be the drug use and smoking that was going on in the rental property.
