When you choose to commit crimes, at any age, you are going to put yourself at a disadvantage for law enforcement positions when the prospective employer has applicants who have maintained clean criminal records. Whether or not they hire you is up to them.

Florida has automatic expungement of juvenile records at age 24 or 26, depending on prior history and arrest or conviction as an adult. Expungement can help in a number of employment contexts, but does not affect your obligation to disclose your criminal history to law enforcement agencies in Florida or prevent them from accessing the record.
