My question involves a marriage in the state of: Arkansas
5 almost 6 years ago my husband recieved a divorce from his wife of 10 years. He was ordered to pay for a car of her choice until it was paid for carry the insurance and pay all yearly taxes on it. But almost a year ago he became unable to pay for the car and it was repossessed. However the day it was repossessed he cleaned out my personal belongings out of MY car and handed it over to her to keep my husband out of jail or so he thought due to her screaming if I dont have her car in my driveway by am 6am he was going to go to jail. So stupidly with out doing any research he took it to her. My name was also on the car title as well as his. This happened it OCT of last year. Now 3 days later she took my car and traded it in with the same place we bout it from bc it was also up for repo and she bout her own car. My question is; is there a statute of limitaions on contempt of court or at any point in time can she just say hey im gonna take him for the 10 grand he owes me for a car or will the judge throw it out if its been so long? Also is there anything that I can do court wise for her giving my car back to the place it was purchased from? She was given my car with out my permission. But I dont want to get my husband in trouble. Im just curious bc if there is something that I can do about my car I need to do it.
