Hey all,

Quick question:

I have a business associate coming into the US for a short visit. He's Estonian so he'll be coming in under the VWP.

While he's here we'd also like to go up to Canada to visit another customer there.

I understand that waiver visitors are allowed short trips into Canada so long as they re-enter before the 90-day waiver expiration. We will, however, be crossing the border both ways by car at Sweet Grass, MT where the CBP people probably don't see a whole lot of waiver visitors from Estonia flopping back and forth across the border. I suspect that we're going to stand out from the crowd just a bit.

Does anybody have any suggestions for smoothing the process on the way back into the US? I assume that CBP's technology is now to the point where they can access his ESTA/waiver status without problem - even in a spot like Sweet Grass that's 2,000 miles from the nearest civilization. I just don't want to stare at the walls in Sweet Grass for ten hours or, god forbid, end up having him denied re-entry over some minor issue.

Any suggestions or pointers on how to make this one quick and easy?

Thanks!
XJ.
