    Default I-90 Renewal After a Domestic Violence Charge

    I'm new to this forum.seeking any good advice please help.my resident card expired in 2005 i already filed a i-90 renewal online.just awaiting some kind of local USCIS interview for biometric fingerprints or any criminal offenses that i do have that will show up.i have a domestic violence back in 2001 found guilty dropped to assault.then a misdemeanor theft charge 2008 taking magazines from a bookstore.i also have two DUI.i have lots of misdemeanor offenses.i came into the USA in 1984 at 8 years old as a stepson with green card in hand.will showing up for my interview get me detained?.i have changed my life around been a troubled youth since i came here i got proof to show that.i now have a new born and a 2 year old daughters.fixed my credit and bought a house got a solid job.perhaps i can get lucky with renewing my card but i really don't think i can escape deportation if i apply for citizenship.i have a 35year experience attorney that i will be working with i just thought maybe someone has gone to a similar situation.i will keep you guys informed with updated and accurate information while i will be going thru this difficult times.been thru hell living in poverty in honduras brought to seattle washigton just to see my step dad almost murder my mother.went on public assistance with mother and brother.then joined a gang just to see my brother murdered in front of me.then went thru alcohol addiction.not trying to makes you guys feel sorry for me.just wanting to know if i can use this in my defense i got documentation of all this.i feel like its not about me no more but my baby girls and good wife.i am a grown man now of 37 years old and i tell you i cry myself to sleep.while trying hide it from my family.thank you god bless

    You're working with a lawyer - nobody here is going to be able to give you a better analysis of your situation than your lawyer.

    You delayed getting responses to your post by posting in somebody else's thread rather than starting your own.

    Your post does not make clear how many of the DUI offenses and misdemeanors occurred after 2008. The argument that you have reformed yourself is more compelling if you have stayed out of trouble since that time.
