Was wondering about autopsy reports.....are they public record and if so where does someone go to view the report?

Some autopsy reports are confidential, sealed by the court. Others are not.
Speak with your county medical examiner's office about the forms and fees required to request a copy of an autopsy report. (If you are next-of-kin, you're usually entitled to a free copy, regardless of seal.)
And if the person is mildly famous, you may find the autopsy reports online.
And, again, the laws vary by state.
I live in Iowa
Start here:

And call your local coroner and ask about the report.

also, your open records act appears to allow folks to see this .. no personal privacy issues (person is dead) that I can see + such issues would likely require testimony to establish a privacy concern
Ok Thank You
