Ok so here it goes...My boyfriend and I had gotten into an argument, I was laying in bed and he hit me in the head with a pillow. It startled me so I sat up and pushed him away from me. We have a mirror propped up against the wall that is 3 feet away from our bed where I was laying. When I pushed him he lost his balance and fell against it causing it to splinter and he had small scratches on his back. I rushed over to see if he was ok because by no means did I mean to do that. He told me to get out, so I grabbed my purse and left the house to stay elsewhere for the night. About an hour later I get a call from an officer stating that he(my boyfriend) did not want me to come back there that night,(I had no intentions to) and to call back and give them my side of the story. I called back immediately and because it was 11 o'clock at night there was a shift change so the officer was no longer on duty. Another officer told me to call back in the AM, so I did. It so happens that the officer was off for the weekend. So I called at least 5X starting that Monday trying to get ahold of the officer that had called me & I was unfortunate, the officer never even returned my calls. So 3 weeks go past(my boyfriend and I have resolved our issues and are talking again) and now I have a letter from the district magistrate saying that the Commonwealth of PA is charging me with Harassment, and to plead guilty or not guilty. Of course I am going to plead not guilty. The problem is I am currently attending college for Criminal Justice and I am 1 semester away from graduating, if I get charged everything I have worked for will go right down the drain, and I cant have that happen. My boyfriend is coming with me to hand in the paper stating that I am pleading not guilty and go through the process with me because he never wanted charges pressed, he just did not want me to come back to his place that night.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
