Default How to Get Survivor Benefits from Social Security

My question involves child support in the State of: Oklahoma

    Hi,
I was since my Dad has died so I was wondering do I get social security benefits. I was told I might not because my Father did not pay some of his taxes. The IRS is actually taking his house but I do know my Father has worked his whole life. Thank you for any answers.

Default Re: When Non-Costodial Parent Dies

Only the social security administration can answer that question. If he worked most of his life, credits shouldn't be an issue, but that assumes that all of his work was actually credited.

Call the SSA and ask them about eligibility: 1-800-772-1213.
