My question involves business law in the state of: New York
Hello - New to the forum and thanks in advance to any input.
I started a company 16 years ago when I got out of the US Navy. I mainly did this for corporate liability. Shortly after I started the company and became incorporated, I never followed up with ANY paperwork at all with the company.
I recently decided to look back into reactivating the company and realized that someone else now has the company name. I was able to look up my filing number etc etc.
I was wondering if there are any paths that I can go down to reclaim my company or to get some sort of severance for losing the company name and having it taken by someone else who sold off to Cisco Systems for 120 million. My company was an IT company and the current one that sold to Cisco is also an IT company.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Geoff
