I have a question for anyone in Maryland. I just found out that my children's father, who has sole custody, was assaulted by his wife in their home and was arrested. She was found not-guilty because he invoked his parental priviledge to testify against her. This was less than 2 years ago and I just found out, her trial was 2/10/05. In Oct 2002 I sent a letter to my ex after hearing about her aggression on my daughter---she grabbed her by coat by the chest and yelled at her. Last weekend my daughter said to me that her dad and step-mom fight/argue all the time.

Is there anything I can do, or does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this. Step-mom is a very controlling person and will fly off the handle very easily. She and I absolutely do not like one another whatsoever!

I'm now wondering what goes on in that house, and if the kids are 'pressured' to not discuss anything that may or may not be happening in the house. I think it's outrageous that she was arrested for punching him in the mouth, for violence in itself, it's unbelieveable.
