As far as I can find out, Ohio has no laws that will protect a person that has been convicted of a felony. If you go online and look at some of the Temp jobs, most of them state "drug AND felony screening" before you can get a job. I worked for a company for a year and a half through a temp service and told them right out I have a felony from 15 years ago. The company loved my work and want to hire me, I told the manager about the felony due to the fact I heard the company had a zero tolance when it came to a felony, and the manager said don't put it down because it was too long ago so I didn't. Two days later I was told I wasn't allow to work there because I had a felony, but they told the temp service that I lied bacause I didn't tell them. And the kicker is that the temp service acted like I didn't tell them!! If there is discrimination, this was it. But we live in the great USA where discrimination is common, and if you made a mistake you will pay for it the rest of your life! Sorry to have to say it that way, but it's the honest truth.
