    Default Coupons

So two local stores are doubling coupons up to $1 (meaning the $1 are worth 2, and so on). They're obviously competing against each other and have been for months now, and it's greatly benefited our local residents if not just my family.

So the one store selectively refuses to honor coupons each time I go in. One time I can go in and use 10 of each coupon and have no problem, walk out with a lot of stuff and I use each coupons according to it's rules. Next time I go in, I will get refused the use of any coupons, and a third time I can go in and they've got some "new rule" stating I can do this or I can do that. Any other member of my family can go in and they get a totally different story than what I get, and more often than not, they have absolutely no problem using any amount of coupons they want. Most importantly, they have absolutely no posted coupon policy in the store or sale ad. They always claim the whole "we reserve the right", which technically in their sale ad pertains only to purchasing of products not limiting the use of coupons. They're not refusing the sale of the item, only the use of the coupons which I feel is not covered under their alleged policy.

My question- can they selectively limit the use of coupons without a stated policy? I feel that they completley discriminate against me because they impose limitations on me but not others, and especially because they have no posted policy.

The other store in my area has a posted policy which they strictly adhere to and there has been no problem there because everyone is limited. My cousin works at this first store, where they're limiting me but not others, and he has told me that yeah, they're watching me and a few other people becuase we use too many coupons, but moreoever they're just losing too much money on us. I really love going through a checkout lane and the cashier always getting a call before beginning my order, then giving me the lowdown on how I can't use my coupons. I love being watched, I honestly get kicks out of it, but it's not fair. Any help would be great!

If there's no written policy, it's hard to show either what the policy is or that they're violating it. You do have the choice of shopping at the store with the posted policy.
