Default Do You Get Any Rights to Land Through Long-Term Residence

My question involves personal property located in the State of: Oregon

I am wondering what the laws are about trespassing on a property after having lived at a location for a period of time.

Is the person allowed to come back on the property any time he/she wishes?

We have posted no trespassing signs on the property but the police said that since she lived there for a certain period of time and not enough time has passed since she did live there that she is able to come on the property at any time to get her belongings and feed her animals which we believe she should get off the property asap.

Another question, how long can she keep her animals (horses in this case) on the property and continue to come on the property to feed them?

Thank you very much for any advice.

so, how long did she live there

how long ago did she move and establish a residence elsewhere (and to be sure, she has established a residence elsewhere, right?)

why did she leave your home? (was she evicted, forced out without an eviction, moved on her own, anything else)

don't know. Is she paying boarding fees? was there any agreement concerning the horses being on your property?

She "lived" there maybe 9 months. Never paid rent. Her boyfriend was the tenant and son of the land owner living for free on the property. They moved to california 3 months ago and established a residence there and promised to come back to get the horses as soon as possible.

The owner of the property has a restraining order against the boyfriend/son for harrassmant. He is not allowed on the property or near the owner according to the court order.

They are not and have never paid boarding and have not paid for feed for the horses in the last 3 months. There is no agreement for the horses being on the property. The owner was boarding them as a favor when she lived there.

    Thanks again.

Thanks JK. Appreciate any advice you can come up with when you get a chance. The situation keeps getting better as now one her pit bulls attacked the owner and she had to go to the emergency room from the bite wound.
