Can I be written up for asking someone a question about the type of food they like that they took to mean I was asking because the type of food was ethnic. They complained to HR and now I am being written up for it. There were witnesses to this conversation, however, I was told this issue was confidential and I could not talk about it or there would be more disciplinary action. Is this something I can fight?
